Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Guide

Step 1 — Remove the SIM Tray and Prepare for Opening

Start by powering off the phone and removing the SIM tray.
Next, we will begin the back cover removal process.

Step 2 — Heat the Back Cover

The back panel is held using strong adhesive, so gentle heating is required.

We are using a heating pad:

  • Place the back cover facing down on the pad
  • Select the Mobile Phone Heating option
  • Allow it to complete the heating cycle

Alternatively, a heat gun or hairdryer can also be used—just make sure to heat evenly around the edges.

Step 3 — Lift and Remove the Back Cover

Use a suction cup to create a small opening between the back cover and frame.
Once you have a gap, insert a plastic card pry tool and carefully cut through the adhesive around all edges.

Lift the back cover gently and place it aside safely.

Step 4 — Remove the Main Board Frame & Wireless Charging Coil

Undo the nine screws securing the main board frame.
Use a pry tool to lift the wireless charging coil—there is adhesive under it, so go slowly.

While lifting the frame:

  1. Lift the frame first
  2. Then disconnect the wireless coil
  3. Finally disconnect the battery connector

After this, remove the entire frame assembly.

Step 5 — Disconnect the Main Flex (Top Side)

Disconnect the top end of the main flex cable from the logic board.

Step 6 — Remove the Old Battery

The battery is strongly glued to the housing.

  • Apply light heat to soften the adhesive under the battery
  • Insert a plastic card pry tool and carefully separate the battery from the frame

Be gentle—avoid bending or piercing the battery.
Once loose, lift and remove the damaged or swollen battery.

Step 7 — Install the New Battery

Apply fresh adhesive to the body and place the new battery in the same position.

Step 8 — Reconnect Cables and Reinstall the Frame

Reconnect the top end of the main flex cable.
Secure the battery connector.

Place the main board frame back into the body.
Ensure the wireless charging coil is properly connected by pressing the flex into the port.

Then secure all ten screws on the main board frame.

Step 9 — Final Back Cover Installation

Before closing, check if the back cover still has good adhesive.
If not, apply B7000 glue or a new double-sided adhesive for a proper seal.

Place the back cover and press it firmly into position.

Step 10 — Add Binding Clips

Use binding clips or rubber bands to tighten the back cover and hold it in place.
Leave it for several minutes to ensure the adhesive bonds properly.
