How to Find Tools and Parts
Start by powering off the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G completely.
Then remove the SIM tray using the ejector tool. This prevents accidental damage when lifting the back cover.
The back cover is secured with strong adhesive, so proper heating is essential.
If you are using a heating pad, place the phone with the back cover facing down on the pad and select the Mobile Phone Heating option. Allow it to heat until the cycle is completed.
If using a heat gun or hairdryer, move the tool around all edges evenly.
Avoid holding heat in one place too long—slow, even heating prevents warping or damage.
Once the adhesive softens, place a suction cup at the bottom area of the back cover.
Lift gently to create a small separation.
Insert a plastic pry card into the gap.
Slide the card slowly around the edges to cut through the adhesive.
Take your time here—work carefully to avoid bending the back cover or damaging side flex cables.
Always use the tip of your tool to loosen the adhesive layer and proceed around the entire frame.
After all edges are free, gently lift the back cover and set it aside.
At this stage, ensure no adhesive strings are left attached to the frame.
The camera lens frame is also held in place with adhesive.
Apply mild heat around the camera section of the back cover.
Once the glue softens, use a plastic tool to lift and remove the old lens frame.
Be careful around the lens openings to avoid scratching the back cover.
Take the replacement camera lens frame and align it properly with the cutouts on the back cover.
Press it gently so it sits firmly and evenly.
Some replacement parts come already attached to a new back cover, which is also an option if your back panel is cracked or heavily scratched.

Before reinstalling the back cover onto the phone, make sure there is enough adhesive.
You can use:
Apply adhesive around the edges evenly to ensure a strong bond once the cover is placed.
Use These Essential Tools to Secure the Back Cover
Place the back cover onto the phone and press it gently into position.
Use bonding clips to secure the cover while the glue cures.
If you don’t have bonding clips, rubber bands work well to apply even pressure around the edges.
Leave them for some time to ensure proper bonding and alignment.
