How to Find Tools and Parts

OnePlus Nord N10 5G Camera Lens Replacement – Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Prepare the Tools

Before starting, ensure you have all the required tools ready for the repair process.

Step 2: Remove the SIM Tray

Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray from the phone.

This prevents damage to the tray or internal components when removing the back cover.

Step 3: Heat the Back Cover

The back cover is attached with adhesive.

Gently heat around the edges of the back cover until the adhesive becomes soft.

You can use:

  • Heating pad
  • Heat gun
  • Hairdryer

If using a heating pad, place the phone with the back cover facing down and select the mobile phone heating option. Wait until the heating cycle finishes.

Step 4: Create an Opening

Place a suction cup on the back cover and gently lift it to create a small gap.

Insert a plastic card pry tool into the gap and slide it around the edges to cut the adhesive holding the back cover.

Work slowly to avoid damaging internal components.

Step 5: Soften Fingerprint Sensor Adhesive

Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently heat the fingerprint sensor area.

This softens the glue holding the fingerprint button.

Step 6: Remove the Back Cover

Hold the Touch ID / fingerprint button carefully while lifting the back cover.

Gently separate the back cover from the phone body.

Step 7: Remove Camera Lens Frame

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the camera lens frame.

Carefully lift the frame from the device.

Step 8: Remove the Damaged Camera Lens

Take the lens out from the frame.

Apply gentle heat to the frame and push the lens from the rear side to remove it safely.

Step 9: Choose the Replacement Part

There are two different replacement options available:

  1. Camera Lens with Frame – Easier installation, simply screw the frame back in place.
  2. Camera Lens Glass Only – Requires adhesive to install into the existing frame.

If you replace only the lens glass:

  • Apply adhesive carefully to the frame
  • Place the new lens glass into position
  • Ensure it aligns correctly before pressing it down

Step 10: Reinstall the Camera Lens Frame

Place the camera lens frame back into position on the phone.

Secure it using the four screws removed earlier.

Step 11: Reattach the Back Cover

Before reinstalling the back cover, check if the adhesive is still strong.

If not, apply:

  • B7000 adhesive, or
  • New double-sided back cover adhesive

Align the back cover and press firmly around the edges.

Allow the adhesive to set properly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Can I replace the OnePlus Nord N10 5G camera lens myself?

Q2: Do I need to replace the entire camera module?

No. In most cases, only the camera lens glass or lens frame needs replacement.

Q3: What is the difference between lens glass and lens frame replacement?

Lens glass replacement requires adhesive and precise placement, while lens frame replacement is easier because the lens is already attached to the frame.

Q4: Will replacing the camera lens improve photo quality?

Yes. If scratches or cracks were affecting photos, a new lens will restore image clarity.

Q5: Can dust enter the camera if the lens is cracked?

Yes. A cracked lens can allow dust or moisture to reach the camera sensor, which can damage it.

Troubleshooting After Camera Lens Replacement

Q1: Photos appear blurry after replacement

Make sure the new lens glass is clean and properly aligned. Dust or fingerprints on the lens can cause blurry images.

Q2: Camera lens frame does not sit properly

Check if the frame clips are aligned correctly and that no debris is trapped underneath.

The original adhesive may have weakened. Clean the edges and apply B7000 glue or new adhesive strips.

Q4: Fingerprint sensor not working

Ensure the fingerprint sensor connector was not disturbed during back cover removal.
