How to Find Tools and Parts

Step 1 – Power Off & Prepare the Device

Turn off the phone completely, remove the SIM tray, and get ready to open the back cover.

Step 2 – Remove the Back Cover

To access the cameras, the back cover must be removed.

Gently heat the edges to soften the adhesive.

We’re using a heating pad—place the back cover side down, select the Mobile Phone Heating option, and allow it to complete the full cycle.

You can also use a heat gun or hairdryer.
Be careful not to overheat, as this can damage internal components or warp the back cover.

Use a suction cup at the bottom edge to create a small gap, then insert a plastic pry card. Slide the card around the edges to slowly cut the adhesive.
Take your time and stay gentle—avoid damaging any flex cables inside.

Once fully loosened, lift and remove the back cover.

Step 3 – Remove Mid-Frame

Ensure the SIM tray is removed.

Undo all 15 screws securing the mid-frame.

Disconnect the fingerprint/power button flex cable.

Use a pry card to separate the mid-frame from the body. Work around all edges to release the plastic clips.
This process takes time—do not force it.

Once released, lift away the mid-frame.

Disconnect the battery connector.

Step 4 – Remove Faulty Camera Modules

Now you can remove each camera one by one.

Front Camera

Disconnect and lift the faulty front camera from its slot.

Macro Camera

Disconnect and remove the non-working macro camera.

Main Camera

Disconnect and free the faulty main rear camera.

Ultra-Wide Camera

This camera sits under the logic board.

Undo the single screw holding the board.
Gently lift or flip the board to access the ultrawide camera connector.

Disconnect and remove the faulty ultrawide camera.

Step 5 – Install the New Cameras

Now place the new cameras back in their correct positions.

  1. Install the new ultrawide camera, then secure the logic board with its screw.
  2. Install the new main camera.
  3. Install the new macro camera.
  4. Install the new front camera.

Make sure each connector clicks firmly into place.

Step 6 – Reassemble the Phone

Reconnect the battery.

Place the mid-frame back and secure all 15 screws.
Make sure all clips are properly aligned before tightening.

Reconnect the fingerprint button flex cable.

Insert the SIM tray.

Before placing the back cover, check if it still has good adhesive.
If not, apply B7000 glue or use a new double-sided adhesive.

Secure the rear cover using bonding clips.
If you don’t have clips, rubber bands can apply even pressure.
Leave them on for some time to ensure strong bonding.
