Hi everyone, welcome back to DIYGeardo.
Today, we will show you how to replace the ringer speaker on the Samsung Galaxy S20 5G mobile phone.
If your Galaxy S20 5G is not producing sound, has a distorted speaker, or no audio during calls or notifications, replacing the ringer speaker cover is the most effective solution. This repair is relatively simple and does not require removing the entire logic board, but careful handling is needed to avoid damaging the back cover or internal components.
Before starting, make sure you have all the tools required, and work on a clean, static-free surface.
This repair guide based on Samsung Galaxy S20 5G device, but it also compatible with Galaxy S20 4g models too.

How to Use the Heating Pad Properly
Protect Your Galaxy S20 Series Phone (4G & 5G)
Step 1: Power Off & SIM Tray Removal
Power off your Galaxy S20 5G completely. Remove the SIM tray and keep it aside to avoid damage during opening.
Step 2: Back Cover Removal
Gently heat around the back cover edges using a heating pad, heat gun, or hairdryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to create a small gap, then carefully insert a plastic card or pry tool to cut the adhesive along the edges. Lift the back cover carefully once the adhesive is soft.
Step 3: Remove Wireless Charging Pad
Undo the five screws securing the wireless charging pad. Disconnect the pad’s connector and remove it to access the speaker assembly.
Step 4: Remove Broken Ringer Speaker Cover
Locate the broken ringer speaker cover at the bottom of the phone. Use a plastic pry tool to gently lift and remove the old speaker cover.
Step 5: Install New Ringer Speaker Cover
Place the new ringer speaker cover into its slot. Ensure it fits snugly and aligns properly with the body.
Step 6: Reinstall Wireless Pad
Reinstall the wireless charging pad, secure its connector, and tighten the five screws.
Step 7: Back Cover Installation
Before placing the back cover, ensure it has enough adhesive. If needed, apply B7000 glue or a new double-sided back cover adhesive. Place the back cover carefully on the body and secure it using screen binding clips or rubber bands. Leave them for some time to allow proper adhesion.
1. Can I replace the speaker without removing the wireless pad?
No. The wireless pad must be removed to access the ringer speaker properly.
2. Will replacing the speaker affect the microphone or other functions?
No. The ringer speaker is independent, and replacing it will not affect other components if installed correctly.
3. Can a damaged speaker cover cause muffled sound?
Yes. If the cover is broken or clogged, it can distort or block sound, making replacement necessary.
4. Is adhesive required for the back cover after repair?
Yes. Proper adhesive ensures the back cover is sealed and secure.
5. Does this repair affect water resistance?
Yes. Opening the back reduces water resistance even with new adhesive applied.
6. How do I test the new speaker after replacement?
After reassembly, play audio, make a call, or use the ringtone to check that the speaker works properly.
1. Speaker sound is still distorted after replacement
Check the speaker placement and ensure no debris is blocking the sound path.
2. Phone does not ring after repair
Verify the speaker connector is fully seated and the wireless pad is reinstalled correctly.
3. Back cover does not stick properly
Apply more adhesive and use clips or rubber bands for proper curing.
4. Wireless charging not working after reassembly
Ensure the wireless pad is properly connected and screws are tightened.
