How to Find Tools and Parts

How to Select the Best Tools for the Repair

Step 1: Power Off and Remove SIM Tray

Always start by turning off your Galaxy S20 Ultra to avoid any electrical damage. Remove the SIM tray to prevent scratches or interference during the repair.

Step 2: Remove the Back Cover

Gently heat the edges of the back cover using a heat pad or hair dryer on medium heat. This softens the adhesive for easier removal. Use a plastic opening tool to lift the back cover, working slowly around the edges until it detaches completely.

Step 3: Remove the Wireless Charging Pad

Once the back cover is removed, you’ll see the wireless charging pad. Disconnect its ribbon cables and carefully lift it out of the device. This exposes the components underneath, including the ringer speaker.

Step 4: Remove the Speaker Cover

Next, remove the small speaker cover that protects the ringer speaker. Use a plastic tool to gently pry it off. Avoid metal tools to prevent scratches or damage.

Step 5: Remove the Old Ringer Speaker

The ringer speaker is now accessible. Gently lift it from its adhesive and detach it carefully. Take care not to disturb surrounding components or cables.

Step 6: Place the New Ringer Speaker

Take your replacement ringer speaker and place it precisely where the original was located. Press lightly to secure it, making sure it aligns perfectly with the housing.

Step 7: Reinstall the Speaker Cover

Place the speaker cover back over the ringer speaker. Press gently until it fits snugly to protect the speaker from dust and moisture.

Step 8: Reinstall the Wireless Charging Pad

Carefully place the wireless charging pad back into position and reconnect its ribbon cables. Ensure no cables are pinched under the pad.

Step 9: Close the Back Cover

Finally, place the back cover on the phone. Press gently around the edges to secure the adhesive. You may apply slight heat to help the glue bond better. Reinsert the SIM tray, power on your device, and test the new ringer speaker to confirm it’s working perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can I replace the ringer speaker without removing the wireless charging pad?
A1: No, the charging pad sits on top of the internal boards and must be removed to access the speaker.
