DIY iPad Pro 9.7 Battery Repair Guide

Before Starting, we need to have the right tools to proceed with the repair, which You can find in the description.

Proper heating is essential to separate the screen from the body for tablet repair. For this, we use a heating pad designed for tablets and mobile phones. On iPad Air, make sure to heat the front side.

Select the Tablet heating option and leave it till the heating completes. Alternatively, you can use a heat gun or hairdryer.

Once the heating has completed, use a suction cup on the sides to lift the front screen. In between, Insert a Plastic Card pry tool or triangle picker and cut the adhesive around.

Be gentle while pulling; there are flex cables attached to the logic board. To lift the touch screen, take the direction like opening a book, but from the left-hand to the right-hand side. Open and place it like an open book till removing the LCD Assembly.

Next, Take out the shield by removing three screws and then disconnect All three connector plugs. And now the screen unit can leave the body.

Next, Take out the shield on the logic board by undoing eleven screws.

Next, undo the screw on top of the battery connector.

Next, on the battery, peel the tape and und the screw, and then disconnect the connector plug.

To lift the battery, It needs some more heating on the battery side. If you are using a heat gun, Be careful, and apply the heat to release the battery’s adhesive.

Again we are using the heating pad, but on the rear side, where the battery locates. And also, do not forget to remove the sim tray from the body.

Next, Once you feel the heating is enough, use a pry tool to life the board.

Here, we will not take out the board; instead, we are creating a gap between the connector and the logic board. Lift the board and slide in a pry tool from near the connector.

Next, use a couple of pry tools to lift the battery and cut the adhesive on the bottom.

Be gentle, and raise the battery slowly while cutting the glue. This process may take some time and take out the not working battery from the board.

Next, place the new battery on the board and take out the supporting pry tools. Ensure the battery connection, and lock in the battery connector with the screw.

And then, if needed, connect the screen to test battery and screen functionality. Once the testing has passed, remove the screen,

Next, secure the sim tray and smart connector plug on the battery, and then secure the screw and adhesive on the smart connector plug.

Next, place the shield by adding eleven screws.

Next, Place the LCD Assembly unit in the body by connecting three plugs and then secure

the shield with three screws.

Next, to clamp up the iPad Pro 9.7, first ensure it has enough glue on it. If not, you can use B7000 glue or Double-sided pre-cut adhesives.

Take the closing book direction and place the LCD Assembly on the body. Place the bottom section first, then follow the top, and then simultaneously click sides and the bottom.Make sure to put pressure on the frame sides and verify that the home button sits and clicks orderly.

Finally, we are using screen binding clips to tighten the screen to the body. If not, you can use rubber bands and leave them for some time.
