This repair method is useful if your device has issues such as a blurry camera, camera not focusing, black screen in the camera app, shaking image, or camera failed error.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G uses a multi-camera assembly that includes the main camera, telephoto camera, ultra-wide camera, and depth sensor. Some of these cameras can be replaced individually, while others come as a combined unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Can I replace just the depth or ultra-wide camera on the S20 Ultra 5G?
Yes. The depth and ultra-wide cameras can be replaced individually. The main and telephoto cameras usually come as a combined unit and must be replaced together.

Q2: My camera app shows “Camera Failed” error. Will replacing the camera fix it?
If the error is caused by a faulty camera module, then yes. Ensure the new camera is correctly connected to the logic board before testing.

Q3: Do I need to remove the logic board to replace the cameras?
Yes. The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G’s rear camera assembly is connected underneath the logic board, so it must be carefully removed to access the cameras.

Q4: Can I reuse the old flex cables when replacing cameras?
It’s not recommended. Flex cables can be fragile and may get damaged during disassembly. Always inspect them and replace if needed.

Q5: Do I need to test the cameras before sealing the back cover?
Absolutely. Power on the device and test all camera modules, front and rear, before installing the back cover. This ensures everything is working properly.

Q6: Can I damage other components during this repair?
