How to Find Tools and Parts

How to Select the Best Tools for the Repair

Step 1 – Power Off and Remove SIM Tray

Turn off the device completely. Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray to avoid damage during the repair process.

Step 2 – Heat and Remove the Back Cover

Place the phone with the back facing down on a heating pad and select the mobile phone heating mode. Let the heating cycle complete fully.
If a heating pad is not available, use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the edges evenly.

Use a suction cup to create a gap between the frame and rear cover. Insert a plastic pry tool or card and carefully cut the adhesive around the edges. Lift and remove the back cover.

Step 3 – Remove Wireless pad and Disconnect Battery

Undo the five screws holding the wireless charging pad. Disconnect the pad connector and remove the wireless pad.
Disconnect the battery plug for safety.

While Changing the Wireless pad, You Can Also Replace The Speaker and Main Flex.

Step 4 – Remove Logic Board Frame and Camera

Remove the logic board frame by undoing four screws. Also remove the two screws securing the board.
Carefully disconnect and remove the front camera.

Step 5 – Remove the Main Logic Board

Disconnect the six connector plugs from the logic board. Using a plastic pry tool or tweezers, gently lift and remove the board from the body.

Step 6 – Remove the Earpiece Speaker

Apply a small amount of heat and gently lift out the earpiece unit from the body.

Step 7 – Remove the Secondary Board and Speaker Assembly

Move to the bottom section and undo five screws to remove the secondary board cover with speaker.
Disconnect and remove the two main ribbon flex cables.

Step 8 – Remove Charging Port and Vibrator

Undo three screws to remove the charging port board.
Apply light heat and gently pull out the vibrator motor.

Step 9 – Remove the Battery

Apply heat to soften the battery adhesive. Use a plastic card to slide underneath and cut the adhesive. Gently lift the battery out using a pry tool.

Step 10 – Choose the Replacement Screen

Now only the broken screen assembly with frame remains.

You can find several screen options in the market:

  • Original service pack screen (with frame & buttons)
  • Original LCD without frame
  • Refurbished or used screens

We recommend choosing a screen with frame and buttons installed, as the price difference is small and the repair is much easier.

Step 11 – Start Reassembling on the New Screen Frame

Place the earpiece speaker into the new frame first.
Install the logic board and secure the SIM tray and front camera.

Step 12 – Install Battery and Logic Board Frame

Connect the button flex cable.
Place the battery into the body using fresh adhesive.
Reconnect three connectors, then secure the logic board using two screws and reinstall the logic board frame using four screws.

Step 13 – Reinstall Bottom Components

Install the vibrator motor.
Place the charging port board and secure it with three screws.
Reconnect both main flex cables from both ends.
Reinstall the secondary board cover and speaker using five screws.

Step 14 – Test the Screen Before Sealing

Before reinstalling the wireless pad, reconnect the battery plug and power on the device to test:

  • Display
  • Touch response
  • Brightness

Once testing is successful, power off the device.

Step 15 – Reinstall Wireless Pad and Close

Place the wireless charging pad, reconnect the plug, and secure it with five screws.
Check the back cover adhesive. If weak, apply B7000 glue or use a new double-sided adhesive.

Press the back cover into place and secure it using screen binding clips or rubber bands for a few minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Should I choose a screen with frame or without frame?
A screen with frame is highly recommended because it reduces repair time and lowers the risk of breaking the new display during installation.

Q2: What happens if the touch doesn’t work after replacement?
This is usually caused by a loose flex connector. Recheck and reseat the display connectors.

Q3: Can I reuse the old battery adhesive?
No. Always use fresh adhesive or battery tape for a secure fit.

Q4: What is the difference between original and refurbished screens?
Original screens are new factory parts, while refurbished screens are rebuilt parts using original panels and new glass.

Q5: Why is pre-testing the screen important?
It prevents sealing the device with a faulty display and saves time if the screen is defective.
