Protect Your Poco X3 Series

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Guide

Step 1: Remove the SIM Tray

Power off the phone completely. Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray and keep it aside safely.

Step 2: Heat and Remove the Back Cover

Gently heat around the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive.

  • Place the phone back-cover-side down on a heating pad and select the mobile heating option
  • Alternatively, use a heat gun or hairdryer

Create an opening using a suction cup and slide a plastic pry tool around the edges to cut the adhesive. Carefully remove the back cover.

Step 3: Remove the Board Frame

Undo 11 Phillips screws securing the board frame. Lift and remove it carefully.

Step 4: Disconnect the Battery

Locate the battery connector on the left-hand side and disconnect it first to avoid electrical damage.

Step 5: Disconnect Other Connectors

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor connector and the top end of the main ribbon flex cable using a plastic tool.

Step 6: Remove the Old Battery

Loosen the adhesive on both sides of the battery. Pull gently using the battery tab and lift the battery out slowly.
⚠️ Do not bend or puncture the battery.

Step 7: Install the New Battery

Place the new battery into the housing and secure it with adhesive. Make sure it sits flat and aligned.

Step 8: Reconnect All Connectors

Reconnect the fingerprint sensor, main flex cable, and battery connector. Double-check that everything is properly seated.

Step 9: Reinstall the Board Frame

Place the board frame back in position and secure it with 11 screws. Reinsert the SIM tray.

Step 10: Seal the Back Cover

Apply fresh adhesive or B7000 glue to the back cover. Press it firmly into place and use binding clips or rubber bands to hold it tight for several minutes.
