How to Find Tools and Parts

Protect Your Galaxy A7 Lite Tablet

Step-by-Step Power & Volume Button Replacement Guide

Step 1: Power Off and Remove SIM Tray

Turn off the tablet completely. Remove the SIM tray using a SIM ejector tool.

Step 2: Open the Back Cover

Create a gap near the charging port or SIM tray using a plastic pick or pry tool. Carefully slide the pick around the edges to release the plastic clips. Move slowly to avoid damaging the frame. Once all clips are released, gently lift and remove the back cover.

Step 3: Remove the Bracket & Disconnect Battery

Locate the metal bracket covering the battery connector. Remove the screws holding the bracket and lift it away. Then disconnect the battery plug using a plastic pry tool. This ensures no power is running through the tablet during repair.

Step 4: Remove the Logic Board

Locate the logic board and remove the screws holding it in place. Carefully disconnect the connectors such as the camera cables, antenna cable, and main ribbon cables. Lift the logic board gently out of the frame.

Step 5: Remove the Broken Power & Volume Flex

Apply heat to the power and volume flex area to soften the adhesive. Gently lift and remove the damaged power and volume flex cable from the frame. Be careful not to tear the flex cable or damage nearby components.

Step 6: Install the New Power & Volume Flex

Place the new power and volume flex cable into position on the frame. Make sure the flex is aligned correctly and sits flat on the frame. Press it firmly into place so the adhesive sticks properly.

Step 7: Reinstall the Logic Board

Place the logic board back into the frame and reconnect all connectors (camera cables, antenna, and main ribbon cables). Secure the logic board with screws.

Step 8: Reconnect Battery & Install Bracket

Reconnect the battery plug to the motherboard. Place the metal bracket back over the battery connector and secure it with screws.

Step 9: Close the Back Cover

Align the back cover from bottom to top and press around the edges to ensure all clips snap into place. Insert the SIM tray.

Final Check

Power on the tablet and test the power button and volume buttons. Confirm that all buttons work smoothly and respond correctly.
