OnePlus Nord N10 5G Camera Replacement – Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Remove the Back Cover

Start by removing the back cover from the phone.

The back cover is attached with adhesive, so gently heat the edges of the back cover until the adhesive softens.

You can use:

  • Heating pad
  • Heat gun
  • Hairdryer

If using a heating pad, place the phone with the back cover facing down and select the mobile phone heating option, then wait until the heating cycle completes.

Step 2: Create an Opening

Attach a suction cup to the back cover and gently lift it to create a small opening.

Insert a plastic card or pry tool into the gap and carefully slide it around the edges to cut the adhesive holding the back cover.

Step 3: Remove the Back Cover

Use gentle heat around the fingerprint sensor area to soften the adhesive.

Hold the fingerprint button carefully and pull the back cover away from the phone body.

Step 4: Remove the Camera Lens Frame

Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the camera lens frame.

Lift the frame from the phone.

Step 5: Remove the SIM Tray

Use a SIM eject tool to remove the SIM tray from the device.

Step 6: Remove the Mid-Frame

Undo the 11 screws located at the top and bottom sections of the phone.

Using a plastic pry tool, carefully separate the mid-frame from the device. Work around the edges to release the plastic clips.

Step 7: Disconnect the Battery

Locate the battery connector on the right-hand side and disconnect it using a plastic pry tool.

This prevents accidental electrical damage while working on the phone.

Step 8: Remove the Front Camera

Locate the front camera at the top-right area of the device.

Release the adhesive holding it in place and gently lift the front camera from its position.

Disconnect the plug from the logic board.

Step 9: Remove the Rear Cameras

Disconnect and remove the faulty rear camera modules from the motherboard.

The rear cameras include:

  • Ultrawide camera
  • Wide (main) camera
  • Macro camera
  • Depth camera

Lift each module carefully after disconnecting the connectors.

Step 10: Install the New Camera Modules

Replace the damaged cameras with new units.

Install the rear cameras in the following order:

  1. Macro camera
  2. Depth camera
  3. Wide camera
  4. Ultrawide camera

Make sure each connector is properly aligned and securely connected to the logic board.

Step 11: Install the Front Camera

Reconnect the front camera connector to the logic board.

Place the camera back into its slot and secure it with adhesive.

Step 12: Reconnect the Battery

Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard.

Step 13: Reinstall the Mid-Frame

Place the mid-frame back onto the phone body and ensure all clips are properly aligned.

Secure the frame using the 11 screws removed earlier.

Reinsert the SIM tray.

Step 14: Reinstall the Camera Lens Frame

Place the camera lens frame back into position and secure it using the four screws.

Step 15: Reattach the Back Cover

Before reinstalling the back cover, check if the adhesive is still strong.

If necessary, apply B7000 glue or install a new double-sided back cover adhesive.

Align the back cover carefully and press around the edges until it is fully sealed.
