Step 1: Gather Tools and Prepare the Phone

  • Phillips PH00 screwdriver

Step 2: Remove the Back Cover

  1. Gently heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive.
    • You can use a heating padheat gun, or hair dryer.
    • Avoid overheating to prevent damage to internal components.
  2. Place a suction cup near the bottom edge and lift slightly to create a gap.
  3. Insert a plastic pry tool into the gap and carefully slide around the edges to release the adhesive.
  4. Lift the back cover and set it aside.

Step 3: Open the Mid-Frame

  1. Remove 15 screws holding the mid-frame in place.
  2. Disconnect the fingerprint/power button connector.
  3. Gently release the plastic clips using a pry tool and lift the mid-frame.
  4. Disconnect the battery connector for safety.

Step 4: Remove the Faulty Earpiece Speaker

  1. Apply gentle heat to soften the adhesive securing the earpiece speaker.
  2. Carefully pry the faulty earpiece speaker from the frame.

Step 5: Install the New Earpiece Speaker

  1. Place the new earpiece speaker on the frame.
  2. Ensure it is properly seated and secure.

Step 6: Reassemble the Device

  1. Reconnect the battery connector.
  2. Reattach the mid-frame, secure all 15 screws, and ensure clips are properly fastened.
  3. Insert the SIM tray and reconnect the fingerprint/power button connector.

Step 7: Secure the Back Cover

  1. Check the adhesive on the back cover. If weak, apply B7000 glue or a new double-sided adhesive sheet.
  2. Place the back cover and press firmly into place.
  3. Use bonding clips or rubber bands to hold it in place for several hours to ensure proper bonding.
