Step-by-Step Charging Port Board Replacement Instructions

Step 1: Power Off & SIM Tray Removal

First, power off the phone completely.

Remove the SIM tray and keep it aside to avoid damage during back cover removal.

Step 2: Back Cover Removal

To remove the back cover, gently heat around the edges until the adhesive softens.

For this repair, we are using a heating pad.
Place the back cover side on the heating pad, select the mobile phone heating option, and allow the cycle to complete.

Alternatively, you can use a heat gun or hairdryer, but avoid overheating one spot for too long.

Once heated, use a suction cup to create a small gap between the frame and the back cover.

Insert a plastic card or pry tool to carefully cut the adhesive along the edges.

Take your time during this step to avoid cracking the glass.

Step 3: Wireless Charging Pad & Battery Disconnection

Undo the five screws securing the wireless charging pad.

Disconnect the pad’s connector and remove the wireless charging pad assembly.

Next, disconnect the battery connector from the logic board to safely cut power from the device.

Move to the bottom of the phone and remove the speaker cover by undoing five screws.

Step 5: Disconnect Ribbon Flex Cables

Unplug the two main ribbon flex cables connected to the secondary board.

Step 6: Charging Port Board Removal

Undo three screws securing the broken charging port board.

Use a plastic pry tool or tweezers to lift and remove the charging port board from the phone.

Step 7: Install the New Charging Port Board

Place the new charging port board in position.

Reconnect the two ribbon flex cables and secure the board with the three screws.

Step 8: Reassemble Speaker Cover

Place the speaker cover back and secure it with five screws.

Step 9: Reconnect Wireless Pad & Battery

Reinstall the wireless charging pad, secure its connector, and tighten the five screws.

Reconnect the battery plug and insert the SIM tray back into the phone.

Step 10: Back Cover Installation

Before installing the back cover, ensure there is enough adhesive.

If needed, use B7000 glue or a new double-sided back cover adhesive.

Carefully place the back cover onto the body.

Use screen binding clips to hold it firmly. If clips are unavailable, use rubber bands and leave them for some time to ensure proper adhesion.
