
Before Starting, we need to have the right tools to proceed with the repair, which You can find in the description.
First, Take out the back cover from the body.
To remove the back cover,it needs to heat gently around the rear cover edges until the pasted adhesive becomes soft.
For this, we are using a heating pad. Place the rear cover side on the heating pad. Select the mobile phone heating option and leave it till it completes. Alternatively, you can use a heat gun or hairdryer.
Once the heating completes, Use a suction cup to create an opening between the frame and rear cover. Next, insert a plastic card pry tool or something similar to cut the adhesive around the back cover.
Take out the back cover and eject the sim tray.
Next, undo 18 screws on the mid-frame.
Next, Using a plastic card pry tool, create an opening to separate the mid-frame. Be gentle and work around on the edges to disengage the plastic clips.
Next, disconnect the battery plug.
Next, take out the battery by loosening the adhesive.
First, loosen the adhesive on both sides of the battery. And then, pry both adhesive tabs from the sides. Next, gently pull the left-hand side battery with the tab and the right-hand side battery with the tab. And then gently Pull out the battery from the body.
Next, Take out the speaker by undoing one screw.
Next, take out the touch id camera by disconnecting the plug.
Next, disconnect both main connector plugs from the charging port board.
Next, disconnect the lcd plug.
Next, disconnect both antenna heads and pull away from the charging port board.
Next, take out the charging port board.
Next, add some heat to relax the volume button flex, and then gently loosen the flex cable from the frame.
Next, release both antenna cables from the frame.
Next, disconnect and pull out the primary camera.
Next, relax the front camera and disconnect both main flex connectors from the board.
Next, gently pull out the logic board.
Next, take out the earpiece by applying some heat.
Next, take out the sensor flex by applying some heat.
Next, peel the volume flex by applying some heat.
Next, pull out the power flex by applying some heat.
Next, pull out both main flex cables from the body.
First, release the adhesive strip on the bottom edge of the battery. Next, relax the battery protective tape. Next, gently peel both cables away.
Now the only remaining part is the broken screen assembly with the frame.
For the replacement, there are two different screen types available. The one is with the frame, and the other is without the frame. It can be original, used, or aftermarket.
Either version you choose, you can get with the frame and without. But the most straightforward repair will be with the frame, and also, the price difference is not that big.
I recommend you go with a screen with the frame installed. It can be original, refurbished, used, or aftermarket. And this type is commonly available to purchase.
Next, on the new screen frame, start placing removed parts.
First, secure the power flex.
Next, secure the sensor flex.
Next, secure the earpiece module.
Next, place the volume flex, but do not secure it until place antennas are on the frame.
Next, gently secure the logic board on the new frame.
Next, secure the primary camera to the logic board.
Next, secure and place both antenna cables in the frame slot.
Next, secure the volume flex.
Next, secure the adhesive strip on the right side of the frame edge. Next, attach the charging port board.
Next, secure both antenna heads to the charging port board. Pay attention to adhesives.
Next, secure the lcd connector.
Next, place and secure the touch id camera.
Next, secure both main ribbon connectors.
and then secure the edge adhesive strip and battery protective tape.
Next, place and secure the battery on the body.
Next, secure the speaker cover by adding the screw.
Next, connect the battery plug.
Next, Before closing the device, it is good practice to verify the functionality by powering up the device.
Next, place and secure the mid-frame by adding 18 screws.
Ensure the clips have fastened before inserting screws
Next, Before installing the main back cover, ensure it has enough glue; if not, use B7000 glue or a new double-sided back cover adhesive.
Finally, we are adding bonding clips to tighten the rear cover with the body. If not, you can use some rubber bands and Leave them for some time.
