Step-by-Step Top Microphone & Flash Sensor Replacement

Step 1: Power Off & Remove SIM Tray

Turn off the device and remove the SIM tray.


Step 2: Open the Device & Remove Back Cover

  • Apply gentle heat around the edges to soften adhesive
  • Use a suction cup to lift slightly
  • Insert a plastic card or pry tool
  • Carefully cut through adhesive and remove the back cover

Step 3: Remove the Board Frame

  • Undo 11 screws securing the frame
  • Disconnect the flash connector
  • Lift and remove the board frame

Step 4: Remove the Faulty Top Microphone & Flash Module

  • Locate the top module near the camera area
  • Gently disconnect or lift the module from the frame
  • Apply slight heat if adhesive is holding it in place
  • Carefully remove the faulty microphone/flash unit

Step 5: Install the New Module

  • Place the new top microphone and flash sensor module
  • Align it properly with the contacts
  • Press gently to secure it in place

Step 6: Reinstall the Board Frame

  • Place the frame back into position
  • Secure it with 11 screws
  • Reconnect the flash connector

Step 7: Test Before Closing

Power on the device and check:

  • Flashlight functionality
  • Microphone recording (use voice recorder or call test)

Step 8: Close the Device

  • Ensure adhesive is sufficient
  • Apply B7000 glue or new adhesive if needed
  • Place the back cover
  • Press firmly and use clips or rubber bands
  • Leave it for proper bonding
