How to Find Tools and Parts
First, turn off the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10.
Remove the SIM tray and prepare the phone for rear cover removal.
To remove the back cover, gently heat around the edges of the rear cover until the adhesive becomes soft.
For this repair, we are using a heat gun.
Carefully work around the edges. Once the adhesive has been heated sufficiently, you can begin lifting the back cover.
Alternatively, you can use a heat pad or hairdryer.
Use a suction cup to carefully lift the back cover.
Insert a plastic card pry tool between the back cover and the frame and gently work around the edges to cut through the adhesive.
Take your time and avoid using excessive force while separating the cover.
Remove the camera lens frame by undoing the four screws.
Once the screws are removed, carefully lift the camera lens cover using a pry tool.
Next, remove the midframe by undoing the 13 screws from the top and bottom sections.
Once the screws have been removed, use a plastic card pry tool to create an opening and begin separating the frame.
Work carefully around the edges to disengage the plastic clips.
Important: The fingerprint flex is attached to the midframe, so be careful when lifting the frame away from the phone.
Disconnect the fingerprint flex cable to release the midframe from the phone body.
From the right-hand side, disconnect the battery plug.
Next, disconnect the main ribbon flex from both ends.
Once both connections have been released, remove the main ribbon flex.
Next, remove the non-working battery by loosening and extracting the adhesive underneath it.
First, loosen both adhesive tabs at the top.
Then, gently pull out the adhesive strips using your fingers or a tweezer.
Once the adhesive has been removed, take out the old battery.
Place the new battery onto the phone body with adhesive.
Make sure the replacement battery is positioned correctly before continuing with the reassembly.
Place the main ribbon flex back into position.
Connect it at both ends.
Connect the fingerprint flex cable.
Then reconnect the battery plug.
Once the connections are in place, reinstall the midframe.
Secure the midframe using the 13 screws.
Finally, reinstall the SIM tray.
Before installing the main back cover, make sure there is enough adhesive to secure it to the body.
If additional adhesive is required, use B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive.
Finally, use bonding clips to tighten and hold the rear cover against the body.
Alternatively, you can use rubber bands to hold the cover securely in place.
Leave the clips or rubber bands in place for some time to allow the adhesive to bond properly.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 battery replacement is now complete. The old battery has been removed and the replacement battery installed, with the midframe, main flex, fingerprint connection, and rear cover returned to position.
Fast battery drain can be caused by several factors, including battery wear, software activity, or other power-consuming processes. If the battery has become noticeably worse over time, battery replacement may be worth investigating.
If the battery no longer holds as much charge as it used to, the phone may require charging more frequently during normal use.
Unusually short battery life, rapid battery percentage drops, frequent charging, or unexpected shutdowns can be possible signs of a battery that needs investigation.
The battery is removed after opening the phone, disconnecting the relevant connectors and main ribbon flex, and carefully loosening and extracting the battery adhesive strips.
The replacement battery is placed onto the phone body with adhesive. The main ribbon flex, fingerprint connection, battery connection, and midframe are then reinstalled.
The existing back cover can be reinstalled if it remains suitable for reuse and there is enough adhesive to secure it. B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive can be used when additional adhesive is required.
Battery life can be affected by factors other than the battery itself. If the same problem remains after the replacement, the battery may not be the only possible cause.
Check that the battery plug and other connectors that were disconnected during the repair have been properly reconnected.
Check the fingerprint flex connection, as this flex cable is disconnected during removal of the midframe.
Check that the battery plug has been properly connected during reassembly.
Check that there is sufficient adhesive between the rear cover and the body. If necessary, use B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive and secure the cover with bonding clips or rubber bands while the adhesive sets.
