How to Find Tools and Parts

Protect Your Google Pixel 6A

Step-by-Step Google Pixel 6a Screen Replacement

Step 1: Power Off the Device

Turn off your Pixel 6a completely before starting the repair.

Step 2: Heat the Display

To remove the screen, you need to heat the edges until the adhesive becomes soft.
We recommend using a heating pad:

  1. Place the phone screen side down on the heating pad
  2. Select the mobile phone heating option
  3. Heat until the adhesive loosens

Alternative: use a heat gun or hair dryer.

Step 3: Create a Small Gap

Once the screen is heated enough:

  1. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly
  2. Insert a plastic card pry tool into the gap
  3. Carefully cut the adhesive around the screen edges

⚠️ Be careful: the flex cable is located on the left-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: Lift the Screen

Gradually lift the screen from right to left and open it like a book.
Do not pull it away yet, as the display cable is still connected.

Step 5: Remove the Connector Bracket

Using tweezers, remove the small connector bracket that secures the LCD cable.

Step 6: Disconnect the LCD Connector

Disconnect the LCD connector plug from the motherboard.
Now you can remove the screen completely.

Step 7: Clean Frame Edges (If Needed)

If your screen was cracked badly, clean the frame edges properly before installing the new screen.

Step 8: Install the New Screen

Place the new screen on the phone body carefully.

Important:
When replacing the screen, ensure the fingerprint sensor is attached.
Original service pack or refurbished screens usually come with the fingerprint sensor already installed.

Step 9: Test the New Screen

Turn on the device for verification.
Check:

  • Touch responsiveness
  • Display quality
  • Fingerprint sensor function

Step 10: Secure the Connector Bracket

Once testing passes, secure the connector bracket back in place.

Step 11: Apply Adhesive

Before securing the screen, ensure there is enough adhesive on the frame.
If not, use:

  • B7000 glue
  • Double-sided LCD adhesive

Step 12: Install the Screen Properly

Gently slide the screen into the body:

  1. Insert from the bottom
  2. Push upward to the top
  3. Apply slight pressure around edges

Step 13: Secure with Bonding Clips

Add bonding clips to fasten the screen to the body.
Leave it for some time and remove the clips.
If needed, use rubber bands to hold the screen tightly until adhesive sets.
