Today we will show you how to replace the OLED touch screen assembly display on the Google Pixel 6a mobile phone.
The Pixel 6a uses a fully glued display, which means you must carefully heat the screen and remove it without damaging the internal flex cable or fingerprint sensor. This guide will walk you through every step, from removing the broken screen to installing the new one.

Make sure the tablet is turned off and the SIM tray is removed before starting.

Turn off your Pixel 6a completely before starting the repair.
To remove the screen, you need to heat the edges until the adhesive becomes soft.
We recommend using a heating pad:
Alternative: use a heat gun or hair dryer.
Once the screen is heated enough:
⚠️ Be careful: the flex cable is located on the left-hand side of the screen.
Gradually lift the screen from right to left and open it like a book.
Do not pull it away yet, as the display cable is still connected.
Using tweezers, remove the small connector bracket that secures the LCD cable.
Disconnect the LCD connector plug from the motherboard.
Now you can remove the screen completely.
If your screen was cracked badly, clean the frame edges properly before installing the new screen.
Place the new screen on the phone body carefully.
Important:
When replacing the screen, ensure the fingerprint sensor is attached.
Original service pack or refurbished screens usually come with the fingerprint sensor already installed.
Turn on the device for verification.
Check:
Once testing passes, secure the connector bracket back in place.
Before securing the screen, ensure there is enough adhesive on the frame.
If not, use:
Gently slide the screen into the body:
Add bonding clips to fasten the screen to the body.
Leave it for some time and remove the clips.
If needed, use rubber bands to hold the screen tightly until adhesive sets.
