Turn off the phone.
Remove the SIM tray.
Undo the two bottom screws using a Pentalobe screwdriver.
Use a suction cup to lift the screen.
If needed:
Lift the display gently like opening a book.
Remove five screws and take off the protective shield.
Disconnect:
Place the new Taptic engine into position.
Place the new speaker into the body.
Apply the pre-cut water seal adhesive around the frame.
⚠️ Note: This does not fully restore waterproofing.
Reconnect:
Ensure all connections are secure.
Reinstall the shield using five screws.
Press the display back into place:
Apply even pressure along the frame.
Insert the SIM tray.
Tighten the two bottom screws.
