How to Find Tools and Parts
Before starting, turn off the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 or Redmi Note 10S.
Remove the SIM tray before beginning the disassembly.
The rear cover is secured with adhesive, so gently heat around its edges until the adhesive becomes soft.
A heat gun is used in the repair.
Carefully work around the edges. Once the adhesive has softened sufficiently, use a suction cup to lift the back cover.
Insert a plastic card pry tool between the back cover and the body and gently work around the edges to cut through the adhesive.
Alternatively, a heat pad or hairdryer can be used to soften the adhesive.
Once the adhesive has been separated, remove the back cover.
Next, remove the camera lens frame.
Undo the four screws securing the camera lens cover.
Once the screws are removed, lift the camera lens frame using a pry tool.
Next, remove the midframe by undoing the 13 screws from the top and bottom sections.
After removing the screws, use a plastic card pry tool to create an opening and separate the frame.
Carefully work around the edges to disengage the plastic clips.
Be careful while lifting the frame because the fingerprint flex is attached to the midframe.
Disconnect the fingerprint flex cable to release the midframe from the phone body.
Also disconnect the battery plug from the right-hand side.
Next, remove the main ribbon flex.
Disconnect it from both ends and take it out of the phone.
Next, remove the speaker buzzer from the bottom-left area of the phone.
After removing the speaker buzzer, remove the broken charging port board.
Disconnect the antenna head and then take out the charging port board.
Place the new charging port board into the phone body.
Secure the antenna head to the new charging port board.
Make sure the board is properly positioned before continuing with the reassembly.
Place and secure the speaker buzzer back into position.
Next, reinstall the main ribbon flex and secure it in place.
Reconnect the fingerprint flex cable.
Then reconnect the battery plug.
Once the connections are restored, place the midframe back into position.
Secure the midframe using the 13 screws removed earlier.
Once the midframe is secured, reinstall the SIM tray.
Before installing the main back cover, check that there is enough adhesive remaining to secure it properly.
If additional adhesive is required, use B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive.
Carefully position the rear cover back onto the phone body.
Finally, use bonding clips to tighten and hold the rear cover against the phone body.
If bonding clips are not available, rubber bands can be used instead.
Leave them in place for some time to allow the adhesive to bond.
The charging port board replacement is now complete.
Charging problems can have several possible causes. A damaged or faulty charging port board is one possible cause and may require replacement.
Inconsistent charging, an unreliable charging connection, or a charging port that no longer works properly can be reasons to investigate the charging port board. However, these symptoms can also have other causes.
Yes. The repair procedure shown in this guide applies to both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10S.
The camera lens frame is secured with four screws according to the supplied repair procedure.
The repair procedure requires removing 13 screws from the top and bottom sections of the midframe.
The fingerprint flex cable and battery plug need to be disconnected while removing the midframe.
The main ribbon flex and speaker buzzer are removed before the broken charging port board is taken out.
The rear cover can be secured using its adhesive. If additional adhesive is required, the supplied procedure specifies B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive. Bonding clips or rubber bands can then be used to hold the cover against the body while the adhesive bonds.
If the charging problem remains after the replacement, the charging port board may not be the only possible cause. Other components or issues may need to be investigated.
Check that the charging port board is properly positioned and that the antenna head has been secured as shown in the repair procedure.
Check that the battery plug and fingerprint flex cable were reconnected before the midframe was secured.
Check the fingerprint flex connection. This cable must be disconnected when removing the midframe and reconnected during reassembly.
Check that there is sufficient adhesive on the rear cover. If necessary, use B7000 glue or new double-sided back cover adhesive. Bonding clips or rubber bands can be used to hold the cover against the body while the adhesive bonds.
Replacing the charging port board can be a useful repair when the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 or Redmi Note 10S has charging problems caused by the charging port board.
This guide covers the complete procedure, from removing the rear cover and midframe through removing the broken charging port board, installing the replacement, reconnecting the internal components, and securing the rear cover.
