Types of Repair Tools Used in the Repair Process

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement Process

Step 1 – Remove SIM Tray

First, take out the SIM tray using a SIM ejector tool.

Step 2 – Heat the Back Cover

Gently heat around the back cover edges until the adhesive becomes soft.
We are using a heating pad. Place the phone with the back cover side on the heating pad and select the Mobile Phone Heating option.
You can also use a heat gun or hairdryer.

Step 3 – Open the Back Cover

After heating, use a suction cup to create an opening between the frame and rear cover.
Insert a plastic card pry tool and slowly cut the adhesive around the back cover.

Step 4 – Remove Wireless Charging Pad

Carefully lift off the back cover.
Disconnect the connector and gently pry up the wireless charging pad.
Also disconnect the battery connector plug.

Step 5 – Disconnect Logic Board Connectors

Disconnect the three connector plugs from the logic board to make battery removal safe and easy.

Step 6 – Loosen Battery Adhesive

Apply a little heat to soften the glue under the battery.
We are using a heat gun for this step.
Once the glue is soft, use a card pry tool to cut the adhesive under the battery.

Step 7 – Remove the Old Battery

When you have enough space, carefully lift the battery using a pry tool and remove it from the phone body.
